NEWConnective’s Walk #3: Walk along Water, Art, and Greens

We created another walk that will bring enough relaxation. See the green and wetland environment of the VU Campus from a different perspective. The walk will take you past lots of greenery, water objects, and fascinating art pieces. Prepare to be impressed by a beautiful Japanese garden, stimulate your senses by an art object of water, wind, and sound in the Amstelpark. And don’t miss out on the rich flora and fauna of the Gijsbrecht van Aemstelpark, the important green, ecological connection between the Amstelpark and the Amsterdamse Bos.  

Relax & reflect

You can take this walk any time you like, with a friend, a colleague, a family member… Of course, the walk comes with some good questions to reflect on. During this refreshing journey, you can reflect on questions about what cooling and relaxation mean to you. Let your environment inspire you!

Route

This walk will take you from the VU Campus via the Gijsbrecht van Aemstel Park and a part of the Amstelpark, back to the University. At every given stop, you can take your time to observe the spot or object of cooling or relaxation and reflect on the related questions in the link.

The walk takes about 1 hour, but you can extend it by taking as many breaks as you like. Good conversations can last for hours!

How does it work?

1. Open the map
2. Click on the home icon next to A) Campus Square START and read your instructions.
3. Your walk ends after clicking on the Finish Flag D)  (End of Walk – Main Entrance VU)
